    Fuel in bilge

So if anyone is wondering there is a small hole in the port side stringer. I continued to see fuel in the bilge so I decided to replace the tank. When it was pulled we found the small hole. It had a paper towel stuck in it, probably to keep the foam from making its way from the other side of...

Trolling motor install on Parker 1801

I know this thread is old but I’m about to mount one on my 1801. Did you access under the deck thru the anchor locker? Access is kinda tight in there. I’m thinking about putting a shuttle slide on mine but not sure I need it.

    Fuel in bilge

It’s fuel, I, sure of it. I know where it came from and won’t be coming back. I thought about putting a small drain tube there but don’t sure I want water in the bilge getting in there. I usually keep my bilge completely dry but who knows what will happen.

    Fuel in bilge

I looked closer at the last pic I posted above and after looking at it for a while didn’t think it was coming from the top of the deck where I circled it. Water and fuel should make it to the lowest spot of the hull. I decided to drill a small hole that I can fill with epoxy later to seal. I...

    Fuel in bilge

I stuck my phone in the bilge and took some pictures and think I found the source. There is no sign of gas coming from the tank. It looks like it’s slowly dripping down the outside of the port stringer from just under the deck. I tried to get a drill up there to put a drain hole and later...

    Fuel in bilge

Yep, fuel is OUTSIDE the stringer. It would be nice if there was a picture of how the stringer grid was laid out. I can’t think of another way fuel would get there but I could be wrong.

    Fuel in bilge

I’m working on a 2004 1801 and have an obvious fuel leak but I don’t think it’s coming from the tank. In the last few weeks I changed the fill and vent hose. The fill hose was leaking. After changing them I didn’t notice any fuel in the bilge but did smell gas. I cleaned the bilge and jacked...

    2320 SL F-250 ride quality

Rev 4 prop, bigger tabs and a permatrim is what I did to mine. Huge improvement over the way it came from the factory.

Four Stroke Oil Level - High

I bet all the oil was not drained out when the last oil change was done and it was overfilled. Read the manual on how to drain the oil. The motor needs to be tilted to get all of it out. First time I changed oil in a f225 I noticed it and have since drained it all and never had the problem again.

    Yamaha F150 maintenance question

I just looked at it online. My mechanic said I was fine until 1000 hours. I'm not sure if that means he looked at it or if he was just going off the recommendation of Yamaha but I probably won't do it until I'm closer to 1000 hours.

    Yamaha F150 maintenance question

Where did you see 5 years? I have the same year motors and just checked and it only says 1000 hours, nothing about 5 years.

Buying a new Parker 2320 Pilot House Boat

I had it on my boat and loved it. I added the rocket launcher later since it didn't come with it. That's the leaning post from an 1801 model. There is simply an access hole cut into the floor under the post and the drain line was run to the transom where I had a thru hull going through the...
