Your concerns about water dripping on top of the fuel tank are real. After 17 years my fuel tank needed to be replaced. The dripping water on top of the tank under the live well was to blame. This is how I corrected the hole where the water supply and drain for the livewell penetrate the deck...

    leaning post for 2100SE

Never now as I bought my wife a bean bag chair and gave my seats away. Forget talking to shops. To have a shop custom make a leaning post would cost a small fortune. Maybe you could buy something close and have a local fiberglass shop make modifications to your specs. Google "boat leaning...

    leaning post for 2100SE

This picture is now 12 years old but I am still using the same leaning post today. I bought a fiberglass shell at a yard sale for $2. I gel coated it to match the hull, added 3 rod holders and had a shop make the pad. I used 3/16" aluminum tubing big enough to slide neatly over Parker...

Which hub kit for Mirage Plus and Yamaha Ox66 250?

I bought 2 hub kits for a Mirage Plus for a Yamaha Ox66 200. I had 2 choices. I bought both. The more expensive hub kit was supposed to reduce the bang from forward to reverse. It did. I kept the lower price kit for a spare. If you have not bought a hub kit yet call Ken at Prop Gods. He is a...

Your boat looks great. You won't regret the Yamaha 200. I raised mine 2 holes from the so called  "Dealer Install."

    Three years worth of work.

Sleigher, I have passed that boat where it was on a canal in Summerland Key here in the lower keys many times. The boat looks way better than it has in a long time.

    E -Tec 175 on 21

I will go against the grain here. I run a 21SE. Two engines ago I had a Yamaha 150HP 2 stroke on this boat. The first repower was a new Yamaha 200HP 2 stroke. 3000+ hours on that motor and sold it still running. The second was also a new Yamaha 200HP 2 stroke. Cons I burn more fuel with...

    21se prop 175hp

Something is wrong. Prop too big or motor mounted too low or both or??? Your 175HP should get close to 5500RPMs I run a 200HP 2 stroke now but had a 150HP 2 motors ago Tried many props over the years and ended up with a Mercury Mirage Plus 17 pitch . Motor is now mounted 2 holes higher than the...

Original "Boat Leveler" trim tab sticking/slow

I had Leveler also. The pump was in my bilge for 9 years. Inside the housing there are 2 solenoid valves that control both tabs. When they are slow to react or stuck they need to be cleaned. When I removed the pump and inspected the valves and the guts of the pump I found that it was not worth...

    Accurate BX2-500N

The nice thing about the Avets is they are made in the USA. The smaller single speed Avets in the same price range have less max drag than the Marquesa's. That being said, for Stripers/Rockfish/Perch the single speed Avets would be fine. :P

    Accurate BX2-500N

I have 2 Fin-Nor Marquesa MA16's. I bought them for live bait fishing for tarpon. I also use them for vertical jigging. For the money they are hard to beat.
