    2004 Yamaha OX66 200HP V6 question

I went for a ride in my friends boat with the 2004 Yamaha 200HP OX66 and it was didn't handle well in the turns with the prop feeling like it was over revving. I don't think it's a spun prop. I noticed he didn't have a rudder type anode on the lower unit above the prop like every OB I've owned...

About to buy 04 21 se w/o sea trial, honest opinions wanted

Good luck with you SE. I got a 23SE with the open floor plan forward with no storage or step up and wouldn't want it any other way. Being able to fish forward in the bow unhindered by seats and a raised deck makes it a pleasure. The 14 degree deadrise makes it very stable when drift fishing or...

oil pressure on 200 I4 Yamaha

I have the oil/filter changed at the end of season when they "winterize" it. I usually don't put more than 125 hrs a season. They're certified Yamaha so I assume they use Yamaha spec.

oil pressure on 200 I4 Yamaha

The 6YC unit shows oil pressure and water pressure. It's a pretty slick unit. I guess dropping down one bar after running an hour at 4000+RPMs and dropping to idle is normal. I just happened to notice it the past couple trips and figured I'd run it by you folks. Thanks. Going to the Flemish...

oil pressure on 200 I4 Yamaha

My oil pressure shows in the middle when idling before a trip. After a 20 mile cruise and taking it out of gear it's one bar down from where it was. I've checked it cold and it shows in the safe zone on the stick. Is this due to the oil getting hotter and thus shows lower pressure? Anyone else...

    Poor craftsmanship on new parkers

I've had two 2520 pilothouses over 19 years before buying a 2018 23 SE all of which I think are well built boats. After the first couple times out with the 23 SE I took handfuls of loose wood out of the bilge as well as a couple screws and a thru hull brass scupper fitting. I didn't like the...

    Shrink Wrap Nightmare

Tilt when transporting on the trailer but never over the winter in RI. Tilt it down(best) or cover well and watertight. Sloppy shrink wrap job will be the least of your problems if water freezes in there and cracks lower unit. Be happy someone caught it in time.

    salt away

I had a 2004 F225 Yamaha that rotted a hole in the block after 14 seasons/1100 hours. I flushed it thoroughly every time with fresh water. I'm going the extra mile this time, even if it's over kill. Then again if this new F200 lasts 14 years I'll be eighty three by then(maybe).

    salt away

I recently started using salt away on a 1 year old F200XB. How often do you guys who use it run it through? A friend of mine does it every few trips. How long do you run it through? I've been running it through for about 30-60 seconds and shutting it down while it's still foaming. Any other tips...

    Correct Craft Aquires Parker

It sounds like warranties would be honored. Only time will tell what this means for Parker in the long term. Often when this happens in other industries changes are made to cut costs and quality goes down hill. I hope they stay with what made Parker what they have been for decades and I wish...

    23se forward platform removal

Congrats on the "new" SE! I've got the same boat minus what you're taking out. Personally I like the open space for fishing and accessing anchor without step up. Being able to fish up in the bow with the extra height of gunnel for safety in rough seas I'll happily trade for less storage. I put...

    2002 2520xl questions / crack in floor

I owned a 2520 for 5 years with 14 degree and a 2004XL 16 degree for 14 seasons, w/ 225 OX66 and 225 F stroke. The 16 degree hull is still a mod v and will pound in a tight chop in head seas. You have to slow it way down and trim it in rough seas. The 225 is under powered IMO for the heavy XL...

    Help with Windshield wipers

I used Jeep Wrangler wiper blades on my 2520 pilothouses that lasted much better than the originals.

    What size Yeti for 23SE?

Good point. Besides that my fluke and Black Sea Bass stay lively in the 30 gallon bait well until bled on the way home and an Igloo cooler works fine up in the bow.

    Mr.Parker

You guys who have the ABS plastic cup holders should take the stainless cap off and pull the plastic rod holder out and inspect the bottom. All four of mine on a new 23 SE I bought last year were badly cracked all the way around and literally were falling apart. I replaced with the stainless...
