    X-ducers

While researching Transducers for a new boat I came across the free "iNstall" app for the iPhone. Very complete info on Airmar transducers, installation, bottom coverage, wiring, etc. Dan

    Dash pics of your 2520xl

I hope I'm supporting rather than hijacking this thread....... I'm also installing electronics on a new boat this spring. Can you share what you have learned about best placement of antennas (VHS & GPS), radar, & other items on top of the pilothouse. Thanks, Dan

What new model would you like to see Parker make?

Foggylink Said: I agree 100%. The stepdown is what has me looking at boats other than a Parker. I also like an open back on a pilothouse, similar to what Megabyte has. Dan

Ron, Last week Jeff's Marine mentioned that they no longer had their Parker dealership. I was wondering who would be handling Parkers in Maine. Thanks for the info. Dan

Is there a way to keep a 2006 1801 console compartments dry?

My 2005 1801 console doesn't have any mold. I air it out when ever possible. Also, I have a console cover (but it doesn't cover the console seat). One of these: http://www.boatcoversdirect.com/product ... tegory/13/ I've got one for the console and one for the leaning post. Mine is an...

    Spring 2013 Project time!

Megabyte, How do you go about maintaining the non-skid on the topsides of your boat? Beyond washing, are you putting boat wax on the non-skid? The non-skid on my boat is a very oxidized area, but I wasn't sure what could be done to correct or protect this area. Thanks, Dan

    Compounding Help Needed

My Parker 1801 has low bow rails. The topsides need some rubbing compound work, but I don't know how to get at the areas below the rails. Any tips for compounding these areas? My Porter Cable Random Orbit Polisher doesn't work here. Attempts at doing this by hand haven't been very...

    Parker 1801 Upgrades

Fly Rod, Here are the answers to your questions: (1) What are the dimensions (width, height to seat top, depth)? Not including the grab rail - 32" wide, 33" high, 22' deep (includes area with cup holders). (2) Is there storage in the seat bottom? Yes - the seat frame is a fiberglass mold...

    Parker 1801 Upgrades

Hi Reel Job, Congratulations on the new to you Parker. I've certainly enjoyed my 1801. The leaning post was by far the best upgrade I have made to the boat. The cooler seat just didn't cut it. After searching for an economical leaning post, I ended up spending more to get all the features I...

    2013 21 SE feeler...

coastie743, My two cents is to bring the boat to Maine. It is an incredibly beautiful coastal area and you may be kicking yourself if you leave it behind. If you find over time the boat isn't what you want in Maine you can sell it no problem. I had a good year of fishing for Stripers &...

    Rust

I also had rust stains from my rear tie downs and swim platform. I added zincs on each and have had no problems since. Regards, Dan

What type of solvent do you recommend to clean bare spots on an ablative painted hull? Won't it smear the ablative from adjacent painted areas? Power wash again after solvent? Thx Dan
