    Electrical Question

Cut your wires open at the lugs, negative especially, and see what corrosion you have under the insulation. All that green at the lug and heat shrink indicates you may have corrosion under the insulation. Many times that is the source of the problem. Then install and seal new lugs on the wire ends.

    Tracks Not Showing on GPS

On my Raymarine it has a show/hide track feature when tracks are on. Perhaps the Garmin does too?

    What is This?

It is a thermal circuit breaker. If it heats up (overload condition) it will break the circuit, as it cools down it will make the circuit (automatic reset). I believe it is 40 amp and any Parker dealer should have it in stock.

WTB: Tempress 13 x 23 Slam Hatch in Ivory

Just a thought... I don't know if it holds true on your boat, but on my 1994 2520 the hatches in the forward cabin (under the cushions) is the same size as the one on the aft deck. If you can't find the color you want and you're looking to replace the hatch that is on the deck at the stern of...

Big Grady tries to beat Sandy (Video)

The CG station in Shark River is, for the most part, closed. Station Manasquan responds to calls for Shark River. I saw the Grady as it was motoring in the river toward the inlet. I did not think he would go out the inlet but would turn around after checking it out. WRONG!!! The Grady made it...

    Forward bilge acess on 2520?

Check inside the cabin, on the centerline just aft of the forward cabin opening. That's where the inspection port is on my 2520.

Parker run over by a 32 Albemarle doing 30 knots.

This is true, and they were not. When the tow boat arrived at the scene the tow boat captain called the NJSP-Marine Division. The Parker owner was interviewed at the dock by the marine police after I left the marina so I don't know the outcome of that interview.. I also don't know what, if...

2510 MV Fuel Tank issue - short on fuel

Too funny. I always wondered if the down position would shut the fuel off, just never tried it.

2510 MV Fuel Tank issue - short on fuel

Megabyte, I have the same set up on my 2520. Three tanks, 126 down the middle and two 47s on the sides. However, I don't fill the center tank. I run on the two saddle tanks. Figure if I get a bad batch of fuel or water in a tank I will have use of the other tank to get me back.

    FS: Pilot house front windows

Just returned from picking up the windows. As CrazyCarl7 said, brand new windows for older Parker (mine is a 1994). Perfect replacements for my leaky windows. No only are they new but Carl was kind enough to knock off some $$$ for my gas expense driving down to pick them up. I'm in NJ and...

    FS: Pilot house front windows

I would be more than interested if they would fit a 1994 sport cabin, 2520.

    Rode to chain connection

A friendly dock mate or a marina worker should be able to splice an eye with a thimble into the line.

    AIS

If you are in the market for a new VHF radio also you may want to check out the S/H GX2150. Come with AIS. I am just now starting to check into it so I don't have any first hand knowledge. I am not recommending or have affiliations the seller, just put it up to give an idea on the price...

    Fishing rod safeties

I made safety lines similar to the ones you made. Instead of a wire tie I put heat shrink on the line before I installed the clips. Insert the running line and bitter end into the heat shrink and let the heat shrink do it's job. :D

    First time using Maja Spoons

I use the same set up. Twenty foot leader to the spoon. Instead of using a bank sinker for weight use a spro jig. I use an 4-8 ounce spro tipped with a shad. Caught a 40" bass with the spro the first time I tried this setup. :D
