2520 XL with new Suzuki 300

Ok, I stand corrected. Was going by what the Suzuki dealer told me..... Based on my wot of barely touching 5700 with the 3x16x17, and the correct range being 5700 to 6300, that 3x15 1/2x17 should be perfect... Thank you,

2520 XL with new Suzuki 300

Suzuki doesn't make a prop smaller than 3x16x17

What brand prop did you settle on?

2520 XL with new Suzuki 300

I just repowered my 2003 2520XL, MV, Armstrong bracket, with a Suzi 300, 3x16x17 Watergrip, so the same setup unless you don't have a bracket. Curious what you wot rpms are. Seems like I'm still a bit over propped. I can just barely hit 5700 rpms in nearly perfect conditions. WOT range is...

Hamonic noise in the 2520XL cabin???

Appreciate all the feedback. Back on the water soon and will start trying to isolate the problem. I also might change my prop to get this dialed in perfect. Thinking the prop will also play a role as the cruise rpms will likely change slightly. Target WOT for the Suzuki 300 is 5700-6300. I...

Hamonic noise in the 2520XL cabin???

Again thanks for the replies. The reference to truck noise was just a way to describe it. I think the motor comparison is like apples and oranges as we are comparing a 2 stroke and a 4 stroke. I'm sure that the 4-stroke is running fine but is at a different vibration frequency, the motor...

Hamonic noise in the 2520XL cabin???

That makes sense with respect to a truck, but this is new with the motor. My roof is loaded with stuff (life raft, radar tower, roof rack with tuna bag on it, telescoping davit for the anchor hauler. I doubt it's the roof, but I'll put someone up there as a dampener to test.

Free Wheeling Steering issue after adding second station

Thanks for the feedback, bummer that is somewhat common. New seals on the ram at the beginning of last season, no leaks. I get that it could be air, a small leak on the back of the helm (with all the connections) makes the most sense, but again no leaks. Will check again when it warms up...

Hamonic noise in the 2520XL cabin???

Repowered my 2003 2520XL with a 2021 Suzuki DF300AP, the engine is on a bracket. Got it in the water late October, only have 50 hours on it, so still getting familiar with it. It is completely different than the Evinrude 300 that I removed, the Evinrude wanted to go fast, the Suzuki is a power...

Free Wheeling Steering issue after adding second station

Just checking to see if anyone has had a similar problem. This isn't a specific Parker issue, but in the past I found that the experience level on this site was exceptional: Added a second station to my 2003 2520XL, single 300 outboard. Installed as described by Seastar with Tees behind the...

    2520 XL Forward Bilge

Just an FYI: I have 2003 2520XL. It has a forward bilge pump that is accessible through a slam hatch on the first step into the forward berth. Secondly, the water will never settle into the rear bilge on this/your boat. The only time water is in the rear bilge is when underway. The boat is...

    New Parker, HORRIBLE Ride

Blubby07, no disrespect but a comparison to your hull is not relevant, you have to have driven the 25' MV sport cabin, where your driving position is totally different than a CC. Everything that groupjim said is spot on. My motor tucks right under as yours does in your picture.

    New Parker, HORRIBLE Ride

IF it was that easy then manually trimming down would work as well.... Not trying to hijack the post, but I'll be out several times this week. Willing to try any solutions and provide feedback.
