    Thanks Dad

As long as I am physically able, I will own and operate a Parker. I've had some of the best days of my life with my sons and daughter, and with my brothers, on mine. There is no other fun activity where you are all together, laughing, joking, and catching up on each others lives. And, as far...

    Anxious 1800cc buyer

A week ago I left the marina in Yarmouth, ME for a fishing spot 20 miles offshore with my 1800cc. The seas were 4-6 feet. I turned around to go back to the marina after 15 miles. There were no other boats within sight. I think they were telling me something. There is no other 18' boat more...

What length trolling motor bow mount for 1801

I have a bow mounted MinnKota on my 1800. I don't know the shaft length, I'll measure tomorrow. The shaft is a long one, and I like that. When there are waves or chop, it stays in the water. If the waves are too high, I don't want to be using it anyway. Time for the outboard. The amount of...

    Cockpit Organizer.

I put something similar on my center console with suction cups on the windshield. The console holds the weight, the windshield keeps it upright. It is very handy, especially when things are going fast and furious.

    Challenges

I thought I had pushed the EASY button by having professional winterizing. I had no problems in the previous 9 years of ownership doing the winterizing myself. Now there has been a pile of issues. There are two more: First, the sending unit to the gas gauge. Thanks to you guys for telling...

2520 MV Rod Racks - Do-It-Yourself Piker Style

CaptainJim, I am going to use your idea of using red oak and 4200 to attach extra rod racks. I am curious about how they are holding up. I did not know that 4200 would hold up. Also, I trailer my boat and it will take a lot of road pounding. Will 4200 hold up to that?

yamaha 115hp 2 stroke spring surprise

I have this problem. The shop tech and I worked for more than an hour diagnosing the problem. Turns out one of the carbs needs to be rebuilt ('98 130 Yamaha V-4). Have to order parts and fix it next week. We got it running (poorly) without the motor cover and carb cover. Then we hand choked...

    1801 battery removal

You don't need to take the oil tank out. Once the battery has the cables off and the battery hold-downs off, turn the battery counter clockwise (as viewed from the stern) and you can lift it out of the compartment.

    Challenges

I've been working and traveling and had two surgeries this winter. The boat was parked at the boat yard. They winterized it last year. I had no time to do it myself in the Fall. I spent yesterday readying for its first launch this year. 1) Battery was stored in my apartment this winter. It...

    REPOWER WITH MERC OR EVENRUDE

Good advice already spoken here. Good, credible, knowledgeable dealer plays into decision. Yammies or Zukes get my vote, too. They go and go and go.
