Back to 23 SE CC after 20 years of 2520 PH

After going from a 23ft Sea Ox CC to 20 years with 2520 PH I'm back to my roots in a 23ft SE CC w/ F200. This is my 6th season with this boat and have been happy with it fishing from the north fork of LI to the western end of the sound. Very economical ride though I sometimes miss the comfort of...

The biggest fish you ever caught

Captain Maureen, my wife's biggest striper on a bluebird day. Released fish all morning this size. This one we couldn't revive and is on our wall. Wife's 10.37# fluke aboard Cibigma's current Parker 2520.

The biggest fish you ever caught

192# Yellowfin tuna which was a group effort but I put a harpoon thru one side of his head and out the other.

    Pretty bummed about this, 23SE

Believe it or not that was in the gulf of Maine in February the year before they shut it down for Cod fishing. Six fishermen, 800lbs by 12 noon up to over 40lbs.

    Pretty bummed about this, 23SE

One thing I forgot to mention is the painted white screws that secure the live well to the deck were rusting. When I removed them to clean them up I noticed they didn't use a sealant on the screws to protect from water intrusion to the wood. I suppose I should check the screws holding the...

    anti fatigue helm mat

I'm considering an "anti fatigue" boat mat for my helm of my 23 SE and wondering what you guys are using, if any. I've seen Sea Dek mats but I'm too cheap to spend $200 on one not knowing how much they help or whether it would be a tripping hazard.

New to Parkers, 20 years recreational boating

I owned two 2520 Parker Pilothouses over a period of 20 years and once I learned how to trim it for the conditions and slow it down a bit when necessary I was very satisfied with the ride. I've been uncomfortable in very rough seas but the boats were safe and solid. They're never going to cut...

    New 2520XLD Pricing - - - WOW WOW WOW

One fault I found was the rod/cup holders that were just ABS plastic with a thin stainless cap on top. When I discovered they were plastic I ordered all stainless Mate Series to replace them. When I removed the stainless cap I found the plastic was cracked and crumbling already. I contacted the...

That's my boat, T-top(soft), no forward seating. The open no forward seating is what I liked when I saw it. Not a family man, just fish and wanted all the room I could get in a 23 footer.

No, a I4 F200. Two of the SEs listed were 250s, one 200. I usually fish 1 or 2 people and the 200 still tops out at 40+mph and gets on plane pretty fast. 22-23 knot cruise I get @ 4MPG at 25 knots still 3+MPG. Take a lot of 60 mile fishing days pretty fast and efficiently.

    New 2520XLD Pricing - - - WOW WOW WOW

    I just checked Yachtworld for 23SE prices. Three 2022-2023 23SE between 100K-109K. I paid $60K for a new one in 2018. Crazy.

    Pretty bummed about this, 23SE

Your post made me curious so I measured my 2017 23SE in the area you showed. Mine varied between 3/16ths and 1/4" and no noticeable flex or creak going on. This is my seventh season and have had her on many 60-70 miles days sometimes on rough days and it never felt flimsy. I've had her slam in...

What did you pay for your Parker boat and when?

I'm thrilled you're still enjoying my first Parker and have updated her. I went back to a center console 23SE and she's a great LIS fishing boat. I wish you and your family many more happy years with your Parker!

What did you pay for your Parker boat and when?

Bought a new 2520 Mod V(14 degree) Pilothouse in 2000 for 41K before rigging. I bought a 2004 2520XL Pilothouse for 60K in 2005. Dealer only wanted to give me 28K trade in on XL but agreed to let me find a buyer at my agreed selling price (36K). I brought my seller to dealer, signed the boat...

    1801 Fuse holders in harness

I've got a 2017 23SE with the same black fuse holders which are also bundled tight with zip ties. Don't have a clue what they're for either.

FRESH WATER ENGINE FLUSH / WASH DOWN PUMP FOR 23 SE , IDEAS PLEASE YAMAHA 250 4.2 ENGINE

I also use salt- a- way every few trips. I find it works well on the aluminum T-top, in fact I give the whole boat an occasional rinse with it and it really beads up/repels the salt water when I take spray. Hit the trim & bracket of the motor too. BTW, I always flushed my 2003 Yamaha F225 at...

FRESH WATER ENGINE FLUSH / WASH DOWN PUMP FOR 23 SE , IDEAS PLEASE YAMAHA 250 4.2 ENGINE

Interesting...when I bought my '17 23SE with the F200 I4 the dealer service manager(Yamaha certified) told me quote "I know what the manual says but I recommend only using enough pressure to make it pee and only for a few minutes." I used to think longer was better but evidently not.

    Pretty bummed about this, 23SE

I've got a 2017 23SE since new and never felt any flex at all when I step my 210lbs on it. I wonder if the new owners at Parker are cutting corners. That would be a shame. I'll take a closer look at mine next trip.

    Generations of Parkers-The Tradition Continues.

My last three boats have been Parkers for the reasons you mentioned and more. My 23SE should not have been out in those huge waves. All boats have their limitations and I pushed those limits when I shouldn't have. Took the 2520XL out for a fishing tournament against a 30 knot east wind 25 miles...

    Crossed battery terminals 23 SE/Yamaha F200 I4

After 40 years as a boat owner I got distracted and hooked up one of my batteries backwards. Turned the guest switch to #1 position, no power to the motor trim/tilt. I realized what I did & shut the switch off and pulled the cables. Couldn't believe I did it. I blew one 60 amp fuse in the OB...
