Could someone advise if Parker will install a 2nd steering station on an '06 2120? If so, is it more than the $2500 or so it would cost if you ordered it on a new boat? I've seen the posts about adding a 2nd station but I couldn't find any that discussed whether or not Parker could retrofit...

The bank wants 25% down for a 8.1% 7-year loan and I think that's a good rate. But you're absolutely right about the junk mortgages. If all we have to do is cut back on our time running a powerboat or get a smaller boat, we're very fortunate indeed.

The new ('08) 2120 I'm looking at has a 150 hp Yamaha 4-stroke, no options and no trailer. The dealer is asking $40K out the door. If I buy it, I'll post the actual price I end up paying. It is a buyer's market for sure but if there is any way to to take a beating I'm the guy who can do it!

Parkers (new and used) listed for sale on Boat Trader, Yacht World, and other services appear to have asking prices that are thousands of dollars "off the mark" in the upward direction. For example, the list price of a new 2120 with a 150 Yamaha 4-stroke is about $44,000. What would be useful...

I've read that the 2-stroke engine doesn't get as good milage as a 4-stroke. Maybe that is not correct. If so, sorry. I guess I'm really hung up on gas milage because I took a terrible bath on a 26' Southport (twin 250 Verados) that I could not afford to run. Heck, I couldn't afford to buy it...

Note that the engine is a 2-stroke and not the "good" kind at that. That is why the boat is so cheap.

The boat show in Virignia Beach started today. Norfolk Marine has a beautiful fully-loaded 2520xl there with twin 150's, second station, etc. The price was $82 or $85 I think. I'll get all the details and exact price in the next day or two and post it for you. It was so far out of my league...

The Virginia Marine Police formerly ran C-Hawks and a Marine Police Captain with 40+ years experience told me that they really beat you up in any kind of rough water. I was looking at used C-Hawks at the time and shifted my search based on his advice. Others might of course feel differently.
