    NEW 2420 Pilot House

A split pool noodle will prevent any cracked heads. Put up when the door is open. Still will get a solid bump but no stitches needed.

If you do decide to drill and tap into the aluminum, don't forget to apply the TefGel.

    Deck paint

Can't tell from the pic exactly where it is. Check out Spectrum Color patch paste on Iboats web site. They mix the color and send it to you. I have used it to fix small dings in gel coat. Not cheap for a few ounces but cheaper than trying to mix yourself. The color was correct when I used it...

    Water in my tank!?

BTW The carb pic is from a mower given to me. My friend said it was running then stored. Honda engine so I thought I had really had a something good. When they went to ethanol fuel in Florida there were lots of problems. Friend had his fuel lines become apart Clog his pump and in-line filter …...

    Water in my tank!?

You guys in Southern California just think you have humidity. In Florida it's for real. Get away from the ethanol fuel. It's more expensive at the pump but cheaper in the long term. Clean out the tank. Use non-ethanol fuel. Add the Racor filter. Probably never have another issue with fuel. If...

    2300 DVCC STERN TIE DOWN

Most trailers have bunks that extend past the I-beam When I had the trailer built I had Owens make the I-beam extend to the transom with the bunks on top That way I-beam supported the total bunk Hooked the strap to the I-beam and went over to other side with carpet padding Made a secure boat to...

    Drain plug stuck, help

Lucky to have so many freezers. After shrimping I put some ice in garage fridge to use fishing another time. Got the bags mixed up and dumped into a cooler with food. Didn’t turn out well.

    Drain plug stuck, help

If you put 5200 / 4200 in the fridge after use it will last a very long time. Several years. Sit out to warm up before use. It gets too thick to come out of the tube when cold. Same with silicone. Recommend the garage fridge. Other fridge causes domestic disputes. And wipe off threads with...

    2300 DVCC STERN TIE DOWN

Some people strap across the bow too. Instead we used a very large turn buckle to tighten the bow eye down to the trailer. Have seen boats break off the winch post. Want to keep it on the trailer no matter what. If you see folks having to scrape up a large boat off the highway after an accident...

    2300 DVCC STERN TIE DOWN

Just cut a piece about a foot long by eight or so Just slide under strap and ratchet it down It’s not going anywhere once tightened down Simple but sort of looks ghetto at first Works great for its purpose

    2300 DVCC STERN TIE DOWN

We used a piece of thick carpet soft side down to protect the gelcoat from strap No marks

    Drain plug stuck, help

TefGel is the greatest invention for boats and motors. Only takes a little bit. Better that any grease on threads. Use on water pumps. Anytime you have threads, stainless and aluminum. It is great stuff. Use it and the thing will come apart years later no matter how long in salt water.

Any wisdom on reducing the pounding?

Reports say it was 4 to 5ft at 14s which winds at 6 to 8 Reports are just predicted height With 4-5 you probably had some 5,6,7 If not glass on top it can beat you up when you run off the tops just have to adjust speed to ride that suits your comfort level At 2-3 14 seconds would be a smooth...
