    Twin vs. Single/Kicker

We have a 2320 we bought new in 2006. It has a 225 yami 4 stoke on an Armstrong and a 9.9 yami high thrust 4 stroke, tied to the main for steering and inside controls with electric trim. If I had to do it all over again, I would buy a 2520 with twin 150 4 strokes. The 2320 has been awesome...

Armstrong brackets and new yamaha 4.2L

A little update, Armstrong called me yesterday. First, awesome company! Quick and the short of it, they said the boat may be stamped for 300, but their bracket is stamped for 250. The gentleman advised there was a stamp near the motor mount on the bracket that should say this. I guess they...

Offshore Requirements - What's Really Needed?

I will throw my two cents in as a former Coast Guard and now maritime patrol aircraft Customs pilot, with 11 years offshore search and rescue experience. It has already been said; redundant radios, liferaft, epirb and flares. Call for help with the radios, when the shit hits the fan get in the...

Armstrong brackets and new yamaha 4.2L

You are correct, question was about distance to the transom for tilted engine clearance. Thanks again for the reply. Are you happy with the performance of the 300? Noticeable difference over the 225? My 225 seems to struggle in large swells when I haven a heavy load of fuel and fishermen.

Thanks for the response. How do you like the new setup? Fly by wire?

Armstrong brackets and new yamaha 4.2L

Gents, I floated this question to Armstrong and am awaiting response; My current setup is an 06 2320 with a single 225 on an Armstrong. I am seriously considering a re power to a single 300 (safety plate is stamped as 300 the max HP). My question is if there is enough clearance to the...

What new model would you like to see Parker make?

I said it in another thread. A 2820 with a single diesel, straight inboard and pocket drive would be an awesome, efficent towable battle wagon... And since this is a fantasy, put some sort of small skeg infront of the main shaft, then run a SS bar back to the rudder to give some grounding...

WTH...the new parkers are not for me!!

I think I agree..... Man would I love to see a 2820 with a single 6bta or yanmar 315 straight inboard, with the prop in a pocket... The advantage a boat like that holds for me is an offshore battlewagon that can be towed... I would love a down east, but there are so many places I would close...

    Caribbean 2320

I posted a few of these pics on The Hull Truth, but they belong on Classic Parker as well :).... We decided to keep the 2320, and ship her down to Puerto Rico for the few years we will be living here. She arrived a few weeks ago and we launched her at the boat ramp (beach boat ramp) at Rincon...

What new model would you like to see Parker make?

I would love to see the 2830 they only made a few of with the full standup head and dinette in the pilothouse. I did not like the lines of the single 2830 they made in 2011...

    2005 2320

Sorry for not responding to the folks who have asked about the boat, we are in Puerto Rico now and could not access the page until today. After getting to spend some time down here, we have decided that our 2320 is perfect for the islands, so we are going to keep her. Thanks to those who were...

    2005 2320

After lots of deliberation we have decided its time for a larger boat. This is a preliminary listing as we are in Atlanta on business, and boat is on a trailer here with us until we depart February 10th. Here are a few pictures I pulled from our family albums, I will be taking extensive...

    repower an 05 2320 with twin F150s?

That is a good thought about the higher octane fuel requirements, I need to look into that. As for a big single, I am in complete agreement with you guys and would rather go with a big single. The issue I have is a kicker will provide enough thrust to bring the speed to hull speed, just like a...

    repower an 05 2320 with twin F150s?

We are moving to the west coast of Puerto Rico. Where we will fish there is not a lot of sea tow or assistance. The boat currently has 9.9 high thrust kicker, does fine for most of the time, but down there the winter winds may push the kicker past its limit to make way. The 225 is running...

    repower an 05 2320 with twin F150s?

What do you gents think about a repower on an 05 2320, currently with a F225 on an Armstrong? Provided the $$ makes sense, how do you think it would run? Parker said it would work, I would have a new high flotation armstrong bracket made to alleviate scupper issues... Any input, I am just...

Tow a 2520 and decent on gas.

I know you said no pickups, but would a pickup with a roof height topper be something you would consider? I have a 2008 3500 flat bed dodge diesel that weighs in at 9200 no load, I get 20 mpg on the highway unloaded at 70 mph and 12-14 towing our 2320 at 68 mph. You would get even better in a...

    Spot GPS Tracker

I did not mean to put the spot down or hijack the thread in my last post, I am actually thinking about getting one, especially if they are coming out with a hard wire model. I think it is a great piece of equipment for tracking location and giving piece of mind ashore, just not a primary...
