    Excessive exhaust Yamaha F300

If all that's mentioned is fine, could it be environmental? What I mean is seawater temperature, humidity, stalled winds? Temperature differential and stalled or calm wind can cause one to notice the exhaust more so than usual. It's producing exactly as much exhaust as it always has per...

2520 XL with new Suzuki 300

2004, 2520XL, MV, 2019 Suzi 300 one hole up from bottomed out, 3-16-17 watergrip. 41 wot with 3/4 tank and 5 adults, cruise 32 at 4400. "Getting it up"; Before launching motor all the way down, trim tabs 3 seconds down, full throttle. At 18MPH I raise tabs while adjusting motor trim for max...

    2520 XL Forward Bilge

If they are using the same pump as they did in my 04 it has an internal float and is always hot. Mine has two tabs on either side, push them in while pulling up to detach it and stick it in the water, it should operate.

Bottom paint on yamaha trim motor area?

Prop guard in a spray can by Pettit works pretty good without getting build-up, it's pretty much just zinc but will prevent attachment of sea critters. Anything made "for" aluminum such as outdrive antifouling in spay would work as well, but the prop guard can be used on your sender as well.

How do you keep the front windshield open?

There should be a knob on both port and starboard of each window that tightens a cam on the shaft. They eventually went to stainless on this as the knobs would snap off or the "plastic cam" couldn't grip the strut well enough to hold the window. I've found my local dealer in Maryland to be...

    2005 2520scxl 250hp Yamaha repower

I repowered 2 years ago with a df300, very same boat as yours, you can search here on the site for others as well. I've seen no difference in the construction of the platforms from when the 300 came out. Design-wise it's only 50hp more and 68 pounds heavier than my old 225 and I can't believe...

Best polish and wax for a older 2006 Parker

Just FYI to everyone, Oxalic acid is what's in those high dollar stain removers, this container will last you around five years doing yours and even your buddies boat! Trust me, yacht yards are not using on-off. Thank me later, get the 4lb, use two tablespoons per gallon..... Oxalic Acid...

    Repower advice

How is the new Suzi treating you? I have a 2004 2520XL modified v, and have finally stacked up enough cash to get this done. I'm in Maryland, thinking of using Danny's marine on our Eastern shore, best price here for Suzi 300, single binnacle, gauge upgrade is $20,414 out the door. I'll...

    Drain Plug Sealer

Teflon tape! Never binds up, never leaks. Snug the plug, never tighten. I mean, it is for plumbing right? lol

    Bottom paint

Ultimately you want Trilux, as mentioned as it is made for aluminum hulls. You DO NOT want anything with copper in it unless you know for sure the original Epoxy coating is intact. If your zinc on the bracket corrodes excessively the tub (In the water Part) of the bracket should be stripped and...

    adding an outboard bracket

The way you're set up now with your 23, the cost would probably be the same in the end to just sell your Parker and buy one of the models with the bracket and rear storage already done. I've heard of brackets being around 5k installed, but when you're done you still won't be gaining a whole lot...

    2006 2520XL for sale

I have a 2004 2520xl and am thinking re-power, but hesitant to do it because I may lose on the resale. It looks to me, with your asking price, you did okay on recovering the repower though! Just looking for an opinion on re-power really, I think with a Parker it just ads on to the value of the...

    Pilothouse windshield knobs

Man, the Pony Express was faster than replies on here! lol My window slammed shut (again) and for some reason, I had the handles in the lock position and when it did it sheered off the little cogs that lock the window closed. ($45 each) While at the dealer getting those new handles the...

2003 parker 2520 XL performance numbers?

Which Hull are we talking about here I wonder? I have the modified v 2004 2520 xl, 225 and my numbers are spot on with Hotpursuit's numbers. That's trimmed with no tabs, but sometimes depending on fuel load and wind I can bang out another .5 with my tabs set right. I gotta say, I do my own...
