Sea Trial in 2 weeks ... The 2520 XL has the mod v and is running a single 300.... I'm really interested to see how she runs...according to Linwood Parker himself they will both handle anything you throw at them however the speed at which you do so is more the determining factor as far as what...

On a side note I had called the Parker factory a few weeks back with some questions and didn't receive a call back...much to my surprise I did receive a call back today....from Linwood Parker himself.... not for nothing but I though that was pretty cool...He spent about a half hour on the phone...

I'm on the verge of pulling the trigger on a new 2520XL and would love to sit down over a coffee or beer (I'll buy) with another Parker owner fishing the same waters and discuss "the finer points" of owning a Parker in this area. Tips, tricks, mods, things to be aware of....I think this forum is...

I would be leaving from the CT shoreline and wondering if the 2520 XL is enough boat to safely fish Acid Barge, Coxes Ledge, areas south of Montauk....? Anyone have experience running out that way....I've fished the areas several times but in much larger boats...I know on a blue bird day you can...

Has anyone else noticed that the Parker Factory Website has no updates for 2016?...everything including their show schedule is dated 2015.

Thanks that was a great read....it inspired a little more confidence in the mod V....It would appear that the solution to the problem could mainly be remedied by me gaining some boat handling skills.... :oops:

Well think I may actually be leaning towards the 2015 left over mod v at this point but mainly because the dealer informed me that a comparably equipped and powered 2016 Deep V is about $30k More ....Frankly it puts the whole thing out of my budget..... :shock:

I guess the deep V is the way to go....this probably explains why the boat I'm looking at is a leftover...thanks for the information. The sales person was really pushing the fact that I'd be better off with the mod V. I 'd hate to save a couple bucks up front just to find out it was the wrong...
