I would see where the cavitation plate is when engine is on plane. It should be at water level or just a little under if it's too far down then you could raise engine up a hole. You should also check and see what that engine's max rpm rating is, if it's not reaching max rpm at full throttle prop...
Yes, You can still use the original Yamaha shifter. If you see Westcoastnut on this site ask him to send you some pics he has my old setup. I believe I deleted mine

If you have a transom bracket as I do, I mounted mine to transom bracket on the port side. mine is a Kodiak tank. I can't get you a pic now as I am 3 hours away from it but could in about a week.

I have a 2006 2320 model several years ago when it had a yammi on it with mechanical controls I had to put dual switching boxes on it made by seastar solutions so I could still use the single lever binnacle. But since then I repowered with a Suzuki with electric controls that makes it a much...
Thanks for the tip Brent. I think I may have found the originals from new wire Marine, I believe the breakers are made by Carling and that's what they sell.

Anybody know where to buy circuit breakers or the switches for a 2006 Parker 2320 that are mounted on the dash of the pilot house. I've been having problems with my raw water pump and spreader light switches. I've cleaned all grounds and connections. Problems are intermittent.

I think we are getting a little off topic. Sounds like it's going to be a work boat, plus he wants to put a 2 stroke on. I agree if he wants a 4 stroke I would put a 300. But a 2 stroke 250hp is enough.

Unleased you said it. I've had a 2320 for 13 years and my yammi 4 stroke 225 never left me stranded in 2000 plus hours. Put a 300 zuke on it last year what a difference it made almost more power than I need.

Could be several things bad plug, injector spray pattern, coil failing, compression in that cylinder low, first off I would start with a compression test on all cylinders. Plug is rich seems to me that cylinder is not firing.

You have 3 problems, first off you should be at least running a 3x16x17p prop motor needs to be raised by at the least one hole and transducer needs to be moved off center. I have the same boat and motor that is the way mine is set up and I get 48mph at 5800 to 5900 rpms I still may raise motor...
I can't comment on the ride quality of a 25 vs 23, but I did install a 300 zuke last year and fuel #s and performance #s are much better with the bigger engine, doesn't have to work as hard. I did run a 225 yammi for 11 years

When I had a Yamaha this is what I needed to have a dual station set up 2 seatar dual switching boxes, 1 transfer lever/switch, 7 shift cables.

Sorry forgot to send a pic here it is. I will probably raise it up a hole or 2 next spring steering is quite stiff at higher rpms.

No I do not, I have really never noticed a need for it now that I put 300hp on it, doesn't ride bow up as much as it did when it had a 225hp on it. But probably a small wedge wouldn't hurt it

Don't know if these pics help. Mine is mounted just behind the cabin light just forward of the center line of the roof
