hour meter install??

Guy's I have 23 cc 1989, want to install a hour meter. Which wires do I connect to on the ignition switch? I have a 03 suzuki on the boat. Ignition switch is mounted on the console.

You just have to find a wire that provides +12V when the key is on. Can you get your hands on the Suzuki wiring diagram? Try asking for help on the Suzuki forums on iboats.com.

My Yamaha gauges had some un-used bullet connectors that I was able to tap into when I added my hour meter.

The grey wire that feeds the gauges is on the ignition side of the key switch.
You can get a pigtail connector and put that on the gauge and then have two viable ends.
One for the original gauge and the other for the hour meter.

Sounds easy enough, Thanks Guy's. I assume, can run the neg. leg of the guage directly to the ground cluster under the console.
