Led Spreader Lights

Looks like Hella Marine finally launched their marine Led spreader light...

Here it is:

I think its really expensive... But haven't seen it anywhere just yet.

This is the last item I need to replace to become 'all LED'.

I just emailed Jim @ BOE Marine to see if he's seen any "in the wild" yet.
He is usually on top of all the new stuff.

The ibex magazine had the light but didn't say a price.

I don't know why but I think the price will be well above 100 each. I have to search for the source of that comment - i don't remember where i saw it.

The price should be closer to $65.

I heard from Ocean LED that they are releasing a LED spreader light early 2008. I'm hoping before spring. These are the last non-led lights on my boat. Those Hellas look pretty nice though.

Yup.. this price is in line with the IBEX price I had heard.
I will gladly wait until the price comes down though...
