The props may be out of balance. I had a pair of reliance props and they rattled the boat something fierce at idle but if you bumped it up 50-100 rpm it was fine. Turned out the props were out of balance.

Yes do the barrier coat! Super cheap insurance and the cheapest part of the painting process compared to an anti fouling paint. I soda blasted my boat and found one spot about the size of a dime that was a blister or a void in the gel coat. I filled it and gel coated it back new then fixed...
If you find one with the rear station on the house, i may be interested in that! Only to broaden your search criteria of course[emoji6]. And if it was for twin outboards even better!

Depends on the condition but seems like it could be a reasonable price. Any pictures? I have a 2520 (2006) mod V with twin 150’s and paid around 50k. Really depends on what condition it is and what comes with it. But they’re solid boats so wouldn’t be worried too much about the hull unless...
You will love it. I’m a few hundred miles north of you, probably 900, in Washington state. Lots of deck to run around fighting salmon! And still room for shrimp and crab pots on the deck.

Do you have an Offshore bracket or is your outboard mounted to the stern? If you have a bracket, you would want a fixed mount to your platform. Weight shouldn’t be an issue for a 25 hp on an Armstrong bracket. If you know someone who welds, you could fabricate a bracket pretty easy, or you...
Finished up today with 3 coats of Pettit Vivid! Done done and done! Well, was eyeballing the outboard bracket and thinking I may as well do that now too...

Thanks for the info! I didn’t think about the windows and hardware having dissimilar metals. Duh... Well if I ever buy a new one I will know how to prevent it. Thanks

It takes off the paint and leaves the gel coat with a very minimal profile for the new barrier coat to adhere to. It is not the fastest way to remove the paint with my setup but it is turning out really nice. Takes a little patience getting the blaster dialed in to the correct amount of air...
Started soda blasting today to strip off the old bottom paint. It’s so fun! Not really. Going to be putting on a few barrier coats then finished off with Pettit Vivid that I picked up on sale for $200 a gallon at West Marine last week.

I have the same issues with the window frames. I think everyone does. My guess on the neutral is your cables may need replaced or adjusted. Can you shift into gear fine but not into neutral? Do you have the same problem with both stations or just one? You’re probably correct on the tower...
Good information! Thanks! On a side note, do all aluminum window frames corrode and pit like yours (and mine) and is there something that can be used to clean it up or protect it from happening on new boats for new owners to prevent it for them? I’ve tried flitz on a section and didn’t do...
