Fresh water not working on new 2820 xld

Look at your filter mounted above the water tank. Mine was mounted upside down from factory and did the same thing till my mechanic turned it over.

    Sealing around pulpit and deck

I picked up a tube of 8200 yesterday to use as sealant on a transom mount rod holder. I understand it to be 1 step down from 5200 and not permanent.

Advice on radar mount on 2820 XLD

Thanks B-Faithful, I didn’t realize that. This is a good example of why I joined this forum. Lots of good info and advise. I received my battle wagon mount a couple of weeks ago and hope to get it installed in a couple of weeks. Will send pics. Thanks again! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Hull running inefficient

I agree with grouperjim...these boats are just like magic at low speed. Mine runs 60+ but I really enjoy the effortless slow ride and effortless maneuverability of my boat. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    2520 XL- Bow Thruster necessary?

I have a 2820 with twin 300’s and a bow thruster. It came in handy 2 weeks ago when a cold front was pushing 20 knot crosswinds into the side of my pilothouse while backing into a slip. I like mine and use it a lot when maneuvering in close quarters. I have 2 controls, 1 at the helm and the...

Advice on radar mount on 2820 XLD

Thanks everyone for the info...I have decided that the BattleWagon mount (6A) is the way to go with this. Can I get a thumbs up from y’all that the 6A with a 4 degree angle would be enough (or a good starting point) to compensate for the high bow ride as stated by OcPakerguy. Thanks again for...

Advice on radar mount on 2820 XLD

Hi all, my dealer mounted my Garmin Phantom radar flush on the pilot house. I have not used it yet because I know it needs to be raised up. Where it sits now looks like it would be frying our brains while fishing. It may not, but don’t want to take the chance. I plan on redoing it in the next...

Just now doing the 20 hour service on the Yamaha’s. I am loving the boat and boy is it fast! I am surprised how quite the boat is inside the pilot house. I got the plastic rod/cupholders out and replaced with the nice stainless steel. Thought I would share a few pictures. Sent from my iPad...

Combination Cup/Rod Holders on new 2820

Confirmed...I went by my dealer Thursday and can confirm that my new 2820 has the plastic rod/cup holders too. Just went to Mate series website and spent $300 for two oval 30 degrees stainless and back plates. :(

Hi all...I joined this forum in June and have spent hours reading some of the post about rigging, troubleshooting, projects, opinions on ride, etc. I have really enjoyed it and I look forward to being a part of it. I just got word that my 2820 will be delivered next week the 19th. The boat is...
