How Far have you been Offshore in your Parker?

I’ve been 50 miles off shore, but I can fish inshore in 2 ft of water. that’s why I bought my Parker. I watch the seas carefully and any approaching storms. If there is a slight chance that the seas won’t be perfect, I will not go. I also have radar and auto pilot, so I’m going straight to...

The Parker Lineup is Now Dead

Sad indeed. They had a niche. Now they join the ranks of Sea Hunt and Cobia.

    What Anchor Are You Using?

Yep...I’ve seen your boat. Very nice! I would sell that slip if you hear of anyone looking to get in. Jake says slips are tight now. Wexford is where i keep my boat most of the time.

    What Anchor Are You Using?

I own a slip in Windmill and lease it out. B30. I come in occasionally to catch Pinfish. Collins is Collins Doughtie who writes a weekly piece on fishing for the Island Packet. My boat is the RumRunner. I keep it in dry stack at the Boathouse when i leave HH for several months. Good luck!!

    What Anchor Are You Using?

By the way...i see you are in Bluffton. I’m out of Wexford. Maybe hook up sometime for a little angling. I’m a friend of Collins. Caught a female Cobia together a few years back and gave her to the Wadell for breeding. RumRunner

    What Anchor Are You Using?

That’s a tough break. Hard to believe that wire would cut the rope that quickly. No, I haven’t done the zip tie thing yet. maybe ill try it. Thanks.

    What Anchor Are You Using?

I had a Lewmar that came with the boat. I have a Lexmark Profish windlass dead drop. Lost the first anchor on a wreck, and almost lost several others. I’m using 30’ of chain for largely sandy bottoms near Hilton Head. Switched to a Fortress which I love, and carry a reef anchor for fishing the...

    2021 2302 Ride Quality

What I love my about my 2320 is its versatility. First, because of the cabin, i can fish year round. You have cover from the sun, and from the cold in winter. I’ve been 50 miles offshore when seas are low, and can fish inshore, because of the draft being so forgiving. You can raise the...

    King Mackerel Stole My Anchor

I have lost a few anchors on the Betsy. I carry 30 ft of chain, and i believe that the chain wraps around the wrecks. I do carry now a bendable Reef anchor that if can switch out easily on with a serious carabiner at the end of my chain. Also switched to Fortress Anchor, and it performs very...

    Batteries

I stupidly left my battery switch turned on for several weeks. The Batteries were less than 6months old. Naturally they didn’t start, but I jumped them with a top of the line NOCO charger. The engine ran while I did some work. Next time I came to the dock to fish, the batteries barely...

    Minn Kota Sizing Question

Thanks Paddy Wagon. Never thought that would be possible, but good to know.

    Minn Kota Sizing Question

Could it hold a 2320 Pilot House 20 miles out? How about strong tidal waters?
