Stand off distance Center Console to Heln Bench, 2501 Cc

Uncanny, friend said same over the weekend. Hear that, he has similar layout on 2016 GW 27. Today we took those measurements using the GW. Plan to do same on the Parker. Two issues; 1) moving bench back reduces rear deck fishing area, 2) how much flexibility to move. That is, what planning went...

Stand off distance Center Console to Heln Bench, 2501 Cc

New tackle station ready to install. The fiberglass tech sealed the previous holes and finished off deck leaving no alignment marks (not what was requested). What is the stand-off distance from the center back bottom edge of the console to the center forward edge of the bench base (which...

    2520XLD Anchor and chain

For what it’s worth, I thought the 14# Danforth was a bit light, fits snug in the bow pulpit though. Safety rules, it’s your only brake should you lose power. You want to hold anchor in most any condition. 25’ of chain is minimum, that is what holds flukes in place. 300’ more than enough IMO...

    Forward hatch, anchor locker access

Clever angling up, lot more room.

Trim tab anode on Yamaha lower unit.

photo on right is left (port) 200 hp Yamaha lower unit, on a 2501 with twins. Here the tab anode toes out (larger outer curved surface faces boat centerline). Port has counter rotating prop, ccw. Anode is labeled “L”. Same toe out on the right, starboard, engine, anode labeled “R”. Without...

    Forward hatch, anchor locker access

2018 Parker 2501, custom forward bow hatch. No way to get to running lights, windless power and bolts, etc., without. Newer models look like bow deck redone. There is a small top hatch to hold small anchor in place, but way too small for access.

    2018 Yamaha F175/200 2.8L i4 timing belt replacement

Thank you for video. 2300 hours, it was time, same though, mechanic said belt looked fine. 6 year old engines. At 1200 hours cert Yamaha tech looked at belts and decided not to replace, said they were fine. I bought last year, uncomfortable not doing

    2018 Yamaha F175/200 2.8L i4 timing belt replacement

Both done, by a professional, only 1 hour labor per engine. Yamaha mechanic said can do these in 1/2 hour per (but rounded up for my bill!). The in-line 4 simpler than v6 or v8s. Replaced the pullies as well. I did order from Yamaha the service manual for these engines ($130 for the copy...

    2018 Yamaha F175/200 2.8L i4 timing belt replacement

starting in on this, have belts, pulleys and bolts. Any info on pulling the flywheel? Couldn’t find video for these engines online, nothing on THT. I think need a specific tool. Thanks in advance.

    Beer buddies & soggy jeans

Ridiculous really, like after a rainy night, cushions need to be wrung out. Replaced the spongee front polyurethane seat cushions with EZ Dry: https://foamforyou.com/drain-dry-foam Easy DIY. Cuts fine with Bubba electric knife, used old cushions as template. Now will use old cushions as bilge...

    T-Top issue

Read over your THT posts, well, yes, identical! Thank you for sharing. You said Parker knew what happened; can you share what they said? My guess, once the screws loosened (front port leg in mine) , bad things happen. Water gets in, and only two screws were used, so quickly the other loosens...

    T-Top issue

2018? Thought CC builds started in 2019? And heard of similar issue on 2010, with post-to-deck screws loosening. And that can start all sorts of problems. Either way, T Top was built by EM&C in South Carolina: https://emctowers.com/contact-2/ They are subcontracted by a number of builders...

    T-Top issue

Copy that. The welds shown in 2 and 3 done by a EB seasoned pro. Still, agree, not enough. I will post the repairs from this winter. We add 2” flat stock gussets either side. More importantly, installed those toggles on all legs and add four new brackets onto the four leg posts to bolt into the...

    T-Top issue

I bet you have them https://toggler.com/products/snaptoggle-heavy-duty-toggle-bolts-304-stainless-steel-channels Parker started to use after 2018, I think. I would call and talk with Parker. Pictures from when I bought boat and initial welds on cracked cross bar. I can post fixes next week.
