Ridiculous really, like after a rainy night, cushions need to be wrung out.
Replaced the spongee front polyurethane seat cushions with EZ Dry:

Easy DIY. Cuts fine with Bubba electric knife, used old cushions as template. Now will use old cushions as bilge sponges. Have endless supply.
EX Dry not inexpensive, though DIY saved $$. Canvas shop wanted $1200(!)
