Undersized Fish Box - 2520 XLD

In deck boxes would add considerable cost to do it right, most boaters dont need that capacity. Most boats that have in deck boxes lose the self bailing because they use garbage hatches. Put fuel tanks outside the stringers, leaves lots of room in the middle for a fish box, seasport does this...

    Need Help, 2320 or a 2520??

My observation, mv 2520 out number dv 10:1 on the used market. No trailer in the picture, I would go 2520, it all about the beam, 9-6 is much nicer offshore. Go dv for offshore use. Big advantage the 2320 has over the 2520dv is fuel economy and trailers easier.

    Repower 07 2530

The 200's should be perfect, i wouldnt be surprised if you see an improvement in economy. I know a few guys running the 175, all are happy with them. Sold the 23 last april. Bought a 28 farallon in july. With 90% ocean usage I wanted more boat to not be pushing the edge on capacity.

    Repower 07 2530

A little more prop in the water never hurt either. Those 150s wear a small prop. Abandon the 28 upgrade path? A couple fs locally, dont see that very often.

    possibly time to re-power..... Thoughts?

That 41 is very heavy, biggers tabs will help, the 383 will weigh alot less, and more power but economy will suffer. Really depends on your usage, for most rec users the gas is fine. Long trips and many hrs a yr the diesel may be a better fit. Just an example, where i boat, diesel is half the...

    Mooring with a bow pulpit

Bow eye for sure, use a carabiner on each end, leave the boat end hooked on when you leave the mooring. Tie a safety line to a bow cleat in case something happens to the main line attached to the bow eye. attaching the main line to a cleat on the deck or pulpit puts the attachment point to...

Buying a new Parker 2320 Pilot House Boat

You see leaning posts on center consoles, but not on the back of pilot house style boats. The problem i see mounting one is accessing the underside fasteners depending on where you want to put it and how wide it is. Imo, your passengers will appreciate a couple bean bags much more than a...

    Raymarine P79 Transducer

P79 works great on my 23' hull. I get bottom up to 1000' at 25 mph. Down side in no temp sensor built in. Good sensitivity to 300', beyond that a 1000w unit would perform better.

    2820 info

I have a 2320. Does great in our waters, setup is important, as well as knowing how to operate, the right prop and tabs make all the difference. 95% of my ocean fishing is out of Westport.

    2820 info

I assume your talking 6 pack ocean charter? If so, the 28 should handle fine here, won't be a speed demon or ride the best for its size. Id look at the older 2830, room for 6+ persons in the cabin, the 2820 cabin isnt big enough to get all the customers out of the weather. Neither model has...

taking on water through scuppers, what to do?

The ball scupers are a bandaid, the issue is too much weight, add more floatation to your bracket, carry less weight, redistribute weight or get a bigger boat.

    Gel coat where to buy?

Sorry for the incomplete answer, you need to add surface agent to the gelcoat hardener mix before application. Surface agent is a styrene/wax solution that allows polyester resin to cure hard. I have had better results using it than the wax paper/cling wrap method.

    2320 I/O to OB

You would be money ahead selling yours and buying a bracketed boat if that is what you want. 30k sounds about right to do the conversion using a new v6 ob. You could find a used 2320 ob for 30k.

    Gel coat where to buy?

You need to add wax to get the gelcoat to cure. It may never harden as is.

    Gel coat where to buy?

Your local parker dealer should have what you need or can order it for you.
