I am putting my boat up for sale. With a growing family and new house the boat needs to go for now. I will be posting on craigslist within the next couple days and will add a link here since pictures seem to be difficult to add.
The boat is an absolute beast and will be very sad to see it go...

Thanks for the feedback. I am in and out of my hatch to much for something like that metal hatch to go there. Looks very nice though. May just have to replace with the plastic one.
My hinges on my stern rectangular deck hatch have broke. Before replacing with what seems to be another cheap plastic hatch has anyone else found anything better that is perhaps more water tight? THank you
I am re-powering my boat this year. I have a 250hp Yamaha OX66 30" shaft with 1800 hours on it for sale. Stator is bad so it wont recharge the battery. Other than that she runs great.
$2500

I have not done the bracket yet however got a price on Friday. To close the transom in (Without a cap on the Gunnel) and bracket i am looking at 5K another $1200 to replace my tabs with electric ones.
I am still weighing the pros and cons. Major want for it is ease of getting in and out of...
I currently have a notched transom and am thinking about adding a full transom bracket when I re-power. Does anyone have any first hand experience doing this? If so what did you do with the notched transom? Did you make a door or glass it in? Did you have to adjust the scuppers at all for...
I agree I am not a huge fan of the looks however am getting over them the more i look at it. I am not a fan of all the colors. Most likely go with all black or white panels.
Cost of total ownership appears to be less on the G2 and service only required at the 500 hour mark. Although I would still want to change lower end fluid and plugs at the beginning/end of every year out of precaution.
You are correct on a lot of money on the line. That is why I am starting...
Thank you all for your input. Its a tough decision I really don't think I can go wrong in any direction from the research I have done. I need to weigh the initial cost along with cost of ownership. I don't plan on selling the boat since its perfect for what I do on the Chesapeake so I am not...
Looking at re powering my 25' CC DV Parker this winter/spring. I was sold on the Suzuki 300 however have been reading great things about the Evinrude G2.
Has anyone here had first hand experience with the G2.
Thanks for your help.

Hi,
I recently bought a 1996 Parker with a Yamaha 250 OX66 and don't feel it is propped right. Right now at 4800 RPM's under full load I do right around 25 MPH at 4400 RPM's I am going 20-22 mph. I know this boat isn't a rocket ship however feel I should be getting a little more out of it...
i have heard good things out of both. However I am leaning Lowrance and am also leaning towards getting 2 units.
It would be nice to have one unit scanning while watching the chart on the other.
Hard to decipher between needs and wants.
