Winterize raw water washdown / livewell pump

My 2017 1801 has a Shurflo baitwell pump. The only sure thing about it is it will burn out every year or so (with winterizing) and $$ will flow out of my wallet for replacement cartridges. When did Parker start/stop using Rule pumps?

    2017 1801CC Seat Cover Recommendation

Looking for a good supplier of a cover for my 1801CC leaning post/pilot seat for when I’m not on the boat. Goal: To keep rain, sun, birds from degrading seat cushions. Bought a not so great one made by Carver last season and the vinyl coating delaminated from the fabric before the season was...

Live well not filling with water

Wow - did I ever get my wires crossed on this! My problem was the well wasn’t DRAINING!!! It was the outflow pipe that was clogged. Hahaha!

Live well not filling with water

I bought a slightly used 1801 three years ago and had the same problem. My issue was that the previous owner had allowed barnacles to grow within the intake tube. I solved the problem by reaming out the tube with a broomstick handle. I need to do this yearly as the boat is on a saltwater mooring.

    Waterproofing Console in 1801 CC

Thanks all for the info. From the sounds of things, as long as water is not getting in from a higher point, sealing the console where it meets the deck is the way to go.

    Waterproofing Console in 1801 CC

It is under wrap(s) right now, so I can’t pinpoint where exactly it is coming from. But it is definitely seeping in where the console meets the deck. The question is, is it supposed to allow water in, or can I seal it up without it causing some other problem?

    Waterproofing Console in 1801 CC

The bottom of the console in my 2018 1801 is continually wet, requiring me to raise the contents off the floor to keep them dry. This dampness also causes a mildew problem. The water enters between the bottom of the console and the deck. Is the console designed to allow water to enter, or is...

2021 1801 build quality and accessories quality.

I have to add my disappointment regarding the rust on my 2018 1801. One of the many reasons I bought the boat was for its low maintenance - or so I thought…. I keep mine on a saltwater mooring in a busy harbor from May through October. While it may be the way of the world today, the rust...

    Rust on new boat

I have a 2018 “pre-sale” 1801, and my stainless is also rusting. The original manufacturers must have been “milking” the business prior to selling out.
