I put in this Springfield double 42 (23" wide) on a seaspension pedistal. It cost me a bit, but worth every cent.

You should see if the bolts come loose before you give up. The suspension pedistal was totally worth the effort.

I have a 2005 2120SC and there was an aluminum plate bonded to the underside of the deck where the pedistal bolts down. I had two stubborn bolts that had to be drilled out. I drilled and tapped all of them to the next larger size. The holes in the pedistal easily accommodates a larger bolt.

Likely just adhesive sealant. Have you tried driving a putty knife in the joint? That's what worked for me.

I have a 2120 and experience the same issue. I always hold a rag or pad over the vent when filling to keep fuel out of the water.
