Caution - Cracking hoses on new boat

Well, back to the subject on recommended hoses for use below the waterline. I was told to use the Trident Rubber clear reinforced PVC hose with the red & blue tracers. Did I use the wrong stuff? This is my second season with it, and it looks & feels the same as the day I bought it.

This is the stuff I used.

That's good hose Dom... just be careful that it doesn't kink and you'll be fine.
In my application I needed a hose that could make multiple bends on its exit route. That is why I selected the hose I did. This stuff can't kink.
