My bow lines run right over my nav. lights when I'm in my slip (I use both bow lines) not to mention the lines are rubbing right on gelcoat. I want to install some chocks. Has anyone done this ? I'm thinking that I might add them to either side of the pulpit close to the cleats (easy install). Or should I put them on the "gunnels" ? What do ya think ??
The boat is an 2005 2520 SC

My boat is different as I went with a single bollard or sampson post on the foredeck when I mounted the teak pulpit. On the gunales you can see the stainless steel chocks. Closer to the pulpit are the LED nav lights.

I like the thin chrome strips (maybe 1/2" x10") used to keep lines off hull.

I have 2 cleats on the base of the pulpit, one on either side of the windlass. I could put the chocks just foward of the cleats. However it will create an "L" shaped angle of the line. I assume that would be ok ?
