Dale this one is for you. My buddy has twin 150 carb.johnsons. Port engine would start ok open throttle ok when brought back down to idle would stall. Mechanic thought it was ethanol had tank cleaned new racors but still not solved, Now he thinks the fuel is atominizing and would like to remove the thermstat,??? could you offer your imput and explain maybe what he is talking about??? I respect your comments. Thanks

Sounds like he's throwing 'parts' at it ... Usually they'll run too cold at lower speeds and carbon up with the t-stat removed.

Also, running good @ speed and then stalling at idle is #1 symptom of carbs needing adjustment. I can walk YOU through it, but not tonight ... not at home where my OMC service manual is.

Dale, Thanks again, If you could walk me through this, that will be great. I will pass this on to my buddy. This site is sure a keeper!!
