After much thought and discussion and dragging my feet I've decided to go all the way with the 30 X 9s. I've measured about 20 times and I've read and re-read everything I can. If nothing else I'll be the guy with the big tabs.

It might come in handy when I've got a couple big guys riding in the back while transporting a couple hundred lbs of tuna in the transom box.
