Thank you everyone for your responses. I am not having luck getting a response from Armstrong. I did find part of their patent design from 1987 at this link: USD292391S - Bracket for mounting outboard engine behind boat transom - Google Patents
I don't know if it interests anyone else or if anyone recognizes the bracket, but part of my quandary is that the plate on the bracket allows for three different HPs 150, 235, and 300. In the patent descriptions are three different configurations for the bracket: 1. the bracket alone, 2. with a top "wing" and 3. with lower side wings. I wonder if these correspond to the ratings on the plate.
