Insulating my Fishbox, need ideas on insulation thickness.
I think I’ve finely figured out how I want to change my fishbox. The fishbox on my Parker is huge and it’s in the floor. I’m going to insulate it and divide it into two parts. It will have a drain in each section connected to a macerator pump. Also, a plugged hole to connect each side so I can use the drain through the hull when it’s out of the water.
Anyway, I need to insulate the whole thing. Any ideas? I’m thinking of using 1 inch polyurethane foam board and maybe having someone shoot the inside with a chopper gun. I really can’t see myself hanging upside down in a hole doing all that fiberglass work.
Anybody have any ideas or insight that may help me get this right the first time?
Thanks a bunch.
