I am about to buy an 1801 CC!
What engine, some dealers tell me 90 ,115 , 150HP.

I think 150 is an over-kill.
Also remarks on this boat, it will be used in the bay at LBI, NJ.

Opinion Please!
Thanks

The boat weighs nearly a ton (dry weight). In my opinion you might be kicking yourself with a 115. 150 sounds like the ticket, but that is just my opinion.

Had a 2004 1801 for 3 years, the 115 was fine. Decent hole shot, 38 mph WOT and sipped gas. A friend has the same boat with a 150, I've driven it several times and can't really tell much difference other than he gets 42 mph WOT, but uses a LOT more fuel.
A 90 is not enough for that hull.
Get the boat with either engine, you'll love it !!
I would highly recomend trim tabs as she will pound a bit in a steep chop.
