New Batteries

I have one dead battery from over the winter and one that I dropped a tool on and poked a hole in it just last night thank you very much.

Anyway I was going to get new batteries before splashing this weekend (yes I have not splashed yet but that is "drama for your mamma" stuff and we don't have a whining section).

So I pulled the trigger and got 2 each Optima D34M Blue Tops. Pricy at $180 each but I think worth it. I already planned on the Optimas a couple of years ago.

I have heard that Yamaha does not recomend using the optima Battery. Has anyone else heard this rumor. And if so why?
