Looking at a 23ft pilothouse in parker and steiger. Would appreciate you opinions of these two boats. One has a 21 deadrise and the other has a 19 deadrise. Pros and cons would be appreciated.

Here is how I see it for the 23 Miami Steiger and the 2320SL Parker

Parker
1. slightly better finish
2. larger cockpit
3. more recognizable name for easier resale (especially outside the NY area)
4. lower pilothouse for less "sailing" when drift fishing
5. deeper v
6. Great support group like Classic Parker

Steiger
1. level deck to the helm
2. lifetime structural warranty
3. seperate v -berth/potti area from helm
4. knotched transom or bracket option
5. choice of brands of power

To be fair, Steiger does make a pretty nice boat, visit the Steiger factory if you get a chance.

I probably would have wound up with a Steiger if not for my 6'5" height which the Parker 2530 accomodated very well.

Steiger still offers I/Os and Diesel I/Os which could be a real benefit if Gas goes to $5/gal. soon.

Good luck with your choice.

All I can say is that I extremely happy with the 23 Steiger that I purchased.
Great layout and fully functional with the waters that I boat in.

Tom
