We had our first cod trip of the season on Friday back fishing the deep stones on the grounds with some easy going weather and full speed fishing.
Got to the area early with a slight offshore wind and a nice drift to set up on our first stone with not a lot of action. We kept pushing until we found one stone that wanted to chew good.
We made a good number of drifts with sardine and squid combo mix to do the trick for a sack of tanker reds.
Fishing was as good as it gets and we finished up early and off to go cut a BIG bag of fish for the guys.
