I don't know if this horse has been beat or not yet? I just found out that Yamaha has started using a new filter ( the one before the low pressure fuel pumps, IN Motor). Does anyone know what the change is beside 's it having a green filter material? Is it a smaller micron? better water separation ?
Is this maybe a response to fuel issues with some yamaha's ??
Thanks
Chris

Yes, there is a new filter. From memory, it is around 10 microns and is somewhat pricey (around $300 installed). A lot of us get our Yamaha info from Andy at www.shipyardislandmarina.

Do you have the (somewhat new) large blue Yamaha 10 micron fuel filter o/s your motor? This might take the place of the small motor mounted filter.
