mine is a similar vintage with 2- 49gal tanks in the floor... i have 4 inspection plates for my tanks total... under the inspection plates towards the cabin is where the tank labels are
i like the yamaha covers for the motor, they look nice and protect the cowling on the motor pretty well.
i'd try not to cover the motor with tarps if you could, i would think it wouldnt breathe properly
