^ This is "Suzi speak"...
There is not a low or hi gear, just a gear reduction in bottom of powerhead...and another gear reduction in foot.
No particular reliability problem, but they do fail from time to time.
Parker 23 SE,
A "pounder" underway with uncomfortable "snap roll" at anchor
As w/all Parkers, a strong, very seaworthy and IMO beautiful boat.
My experience.
capt matt said,
When starting the engine there can be a voltage drop, but it will be much more pronounced if you have any corroded connections or if the wire is too small for the amperage over the wire length. I would start by systematically examining all of the wire connections and terminals...

This works great for me,
no need to fool w/air compressors, doesn't require a second person.
Easy to use.
FinAddict can weatherstrip drawers,
drawer pulls can be ordered w/locks
(GemLux I believe)
no need for doors over drawer fronts.
FinAddict does highest quality work.
The 25 sorry ride may have been due to the IO power.
Could be, the flat bottom certainly had something to do with it.
I have not rode in a 25DV. I have, however rode on several "overwide" cc's.
It is amazing how extra beam kills boat ride.
