You should take a look at the Maritime skiff......I have an 18 CC with a 90ETEC and it will go back bay low water to near shore in comfort.

I have a 2011 2510XL mod. V with a 300Yamaha. I agree that the deep V would give a better ride but have found that correctly trimmed and throttle back a bit the Mod. V is fine given the description of your planned use. I fish out of Barnegat Inlet ....North and South Ridges, Garden State Reefs...

My 2012 F150 tows 9800#. It has the Eco boost engine which is v6 Twin turbo charged. No towing stats yet but around town it's getting 18.5 avg. mpg and on a recent trip to Corning NY and back (700m r/t) averaged 20.7mpg. With about 75% of the Trip at 70 to 75 mph

Thanks for the input....... I actually wound up getting a slim friend to go head first into the bilge and he was able to re-connect on the backside of the fitting. Removing the plate would have been the next step. Thanks again for the info.

Anyone have any experience with the saltwater wash down connections on a model 2510? The hose has come off the fitting on the inside of the wall where the garden hose attaches in the cockpit. Can't reach through the hatch to reconnect. Pull the entire planet that the connection is mounted on...

The post is great and will greatly improve your ride...... depending on the type of boating you do they make the pedestals with 2 suspension stiffnesses .....the standard is a heavy duty offshore wave pounding type and the other is a slightly less stiff. Hey Rick. .... Welcome I have a 2011 2510 XL with a single Yami 300 ( got tired of the 2 engine maintenance ). If you are committed to twins I would recommend 200's. If you want perf.data on a single 300 let me know.

Thinking of leaving my Garmin in my 2510 over the winter. Anyone had any problems with these LCD units surviving the winter? I could also leave a 40 watt bulb in the dash access compartment to give it a little heat over the winter. Any thoughts/comments?

I have a 2510XL with a single 300 and it is more than enough power. My dealer, Hance & Smythe in Manahawken routinely outfits the XLD with twin 150's. with respect to the bow rail ...IMHO the hull looks much better with the higher west coast rail. Good luck
