My buddy has an 86 2520 and needs repower. Thinking about taking off the old 225 and putting on a set of 2003 Suzuki 115 Hp that he has on another boat and run great. My concern was the weight and the power . any help would be much appreciated.

I'm not positive I'm collecting parts now myself but from what I understand you're helm that is the highest one gets the vented fill cap and you're lower helm gets a non vented cap. So yes you can fill from front helm to fill back helm assuming it's the highest and changed cap on other helm.

I was talking with Ken at propgods and he's thinking I'm running down one cylinder... He says maybe bad plug or coil. He says it will run fine and not pop code but have less power . I'm running a 15 pitch prop . He suggested a 14 pitch.... Any one else have issues with coil going bad ? Thanks

I just put Bennett trim tabs on my boat. I set the backing plate in 4200 then I drilled a slightly smaller hole then dipped the screws threads in 5200. Then sealed screw head with 4200. we'll see how it holds up
