The stringers are already encapsulated in glass before being tabbed to the hull. The floor doesn't need a ledger on the edges as the outside stringer is only 10" from the edge. From the factory it is only tabbed up to the hull...my plan is to put it back like it was.

Wow, from the pictures, I can clearly make out the tabbing and bedding compound. I just couldn't tell if the stringers already had glass on them.

Sorry... My eyes are not what they used to be. :)

Finished repairs on the hard top

Stringers completed and the back end of the bilge gelcoated

Holes drilled for the through hull scupper and seacock and the overflow for the bait tank

Ouch on the foam in a few spots there ... you're not supposed to cut into any cured area and break the 'skin'. Moisture will migrate in there, even if from condensation within the under floor area due to the hull warming & cooling. 2-part foam is supposed to be cured in place - that's it.

Apologies in advance if I am mistaken from your pics, but what I stated is the prescription for any 2-part foam I've ever used.

Point well made Dale... I did think about this prior to reusing foam and according to US Composites all 2 part closed cell PU foam is a mass of individual cells that are independent of each other. I will agree there is a greater risk for minimal water intrusion at the site where cells are compromised, but my research left me comfortable with the areas cut. I bedded all the reused blocks in new foam and intend on pouring more foam in the voids at the top.

Finally finished wiring and plumbing so the new decking has begun

Created a 1.25" box above the floor so no water should ever get in.

Bottom of Console and Bait Tank

Finally finished the floor about 8:00 tonight

Next steps are to fair the edges next to the hull and glass the floor to the hull.

The floor is glassed in and the boxes are finally tabbed in. Hopefully tomorrow night I will get all the bumps and errant glass globs smoothed out. Then one last layer of fine mesh cloth to finish out the floor. Then Gel Coat (fun fun fun)

Nice work. You are really making progress, too. Congratulations on your hard work. I am impressed.

After much work and sweat the the deck is finally complete...I must say that the coarse Griptex mixed with gelcoat and rolled on turned out fantastic. I will start cleaning the gunwalls today and hopefully set the console base tomorrow. Family obligations this weekend are keeping me from fishing.

Very nice, this post should be a sticky at the top as well, windknot frequently updates this thread.

Sanded the cap, taped it up and rolled the griptex on the bow and gunwalls today..Really came out looking good. Mounted the console base and put the console top on...Lots of wiring to reconnect... too many screws, bolts and nuts to put back. I am very ready for this project to be finished....Anyone want to come help????

Wow, it's like magic to me as I can barely drive a nail. The time and effort you have put in has paid off big time. This looks absolutely beautiful and you should be very proud!

Took the maiden voyage/shake down on the boat today. Motor ran great, no water intrusion in the lower unit, I was pleased with the performance. I need to replace both trim switches and add the trim tabs.

Placed the T-top frame and the windshield on to get a look at the profile...I have a little bit of gelcoat work to do on the gunwall, install the hard top, wire the electronics box, wet sand the hull, buff with Aqua-Buff 2000 then polishing compound and wax. Slap on the new decals and she will be ready.
