Yep, grp 34. The cable with clamps would be used only in hi amp jumpstart mode. I would not leave it on while under way. I would be using the cigarette cable most of the time.
The cigarette cable also works fine for jumpstarting--just plug it in and let elec system equalize for about an hour before cranking. Actually the shortie clamps came from a dead charge pak I had lying around... I had an extra plug and the cable is a nice 6 guage with strong jaws... Also works great as a "portable" battery bank for the elec reel for use on someone else's boat...

I have always built my electrical system to the intent of holding more juice and never for future equipment. If my amp rating is
lower then my circuit breaker then it defeats the purpose of a circuit breaker and ur solely relying on the fuses to see the load.

We finish welding about 10:30pm from 9 in the morning. I'll take pictures of the finish product in a little while. Objective today is to take the swim bracket off and take the bottom paint from the transom off.

Yea that 3rd leg center support really stabilizes the rocket launcher....There can be some Heavy reels slamming around up there.

So today was a very productive day after finishing the weld jobs last night and got up this morning and move to take off the bracket and bottom paint while laying out the railing, rocket launcher and radar pedastol. Here is the pics

Also the center support I'm using for the rocket launchers is used for three reason one I'm running the tuna poles off them, two it hides the electrical wiring to the back deck lights, and three it make for a clean run into the cabin for the electric wires to run into the conduit under the wall carpet and down to the helm comes in right where the dome light is.

Definitely a lot of work!
So are you removing the bottom paint completely, or just stripping it so you can re-do it?

Any Special tip for using the aqua strip?
We will be removing the paint off the transom and sides of my fathers 2520 within the next week. The previous owner has the water line way to high.

Well I used a pressure washer on the fine setting and 1000 grit wet sandpaper. Work the side as he blew off the aquastrip after sitting for an hour. Very easy. It took one gallon and two applications to get it down so I could wetsand the small blemishes

Radar pedastol
Whoa ... without a rear support, that could possibly snap off in seas. You have it mounted pretty high and raked for small diameter tubing.

Nice work on the other items!

Yea seems to me there would be a lot of pressure on the mounting area

No....I wouldn't like the rail around the cockpit....It's a trip hazzard to me....I walk on the washboards all the time.

Radar Station......Can you radius all those 90 deg corners?

Engine Bracket.......The big hole were it goes up against the transom....Weld a plate it it......Open up the hole where Stainless Marine installed a Lil bitty Piehole. Replace with a 8in Armstrong piehole.

This will not only make it easier to work on, easier to check, but it will also make the bracket air tite and that is what you want.

Also drill the drain holes in the gussets of the bracket, so it doesn't hold water and look dirty all the time.

Already order the Armstrong plate and planned to drill the holes. The radar will have a star beam on the top plate, two antennas on the side plate and the radar will be in the middle of the plate 6in from the bottom haven't welded the plate on yet waiting for the radar to get here. You think a center support for the radar when it's being held by 4 half in stainless steel bolts with washer to back it. Also the back railing is much need for what I do with five to seven poles running at one time and it makes the side deeper with kids on the boat. Plus i fish in one of the most dangerous ports in California 12-14swells with wind chop is no big deal. The 90 degree angle wont be difficult with a snake
