    Aft bilge access

Do a search on its site for a 2520 wiring diagram. It was posted a few years back. It was for a late 90's early 00's model but is still good for reference. I just checked and it shows a yellow wire for an optional blower. Guessing they use the same harness for IO and OB models.

    Zincs on recessed trim tabs

On my Lenco's, the trailing edge points up. Previous owner/dealership installed 2 Bennett zincs (~4" zinc bar with 2 holes for bolts) on that vertical edge for each tab. They'll definitely last the season. And since I moved my slip away from a boat with some serious stray current, even longer...

    Seastar steering clicking ?

Thats interesting, I have the same problem. It gets worse in the fall too. This past spring, I purged my system, replaced the helm seals, checked the valves and still have an issue. Fluid is somehow slipping past one of the seals because I have to keep turning the wheel to stbd the whole time...

    Oil Injector Question

I would start with the simple things. Look for wires coming unplugged around the oil tanks. Then check the sensor inside the engine mounted oil tank. Make sure it still moves up and down. I had an 88 Yam 225 and there was a foam-like o-ring at the bottom of the sensor and it would come loose...

    Zincs

Take a look at boats.net. They have engine diagrams. It shows a 2004 F115 as having 2 anodes under the cylinder crankcase II diagram. My F225 has 4 of them.

    Northeast Boating Article

Just got it the other day. It was one of those "Hey, I recognize that boat!" moments. I like that mag. I hope they stick around. Its been getting thinner each month. The advertising $$ just aren't there anymore.

    iGoogle Parker Theme

Anyone here create it? If you do a search on the iGoogle theme's for boat, it will show up.

    Lobster Boat vs. 2520

That sucks ... but oh well, stuff happens. At least it got resolved.

    sea star hydraulic steering

I have the exact same problem on my 2003 Parker. After letting the boat sit for a week, I lower the motor and it turns one direction and then locks going the other way. After a few turns of the wheel, the helm unit pops and everything works fine. Initially I found that the pressure valve on...

    Radar images

My Furuno radar picks up everything. I pick up those plastic barrels, I pick up sticks with no beacon on it. Ive even picked up small breakers in the inlet at night ... that was fun ... my brother in law says "whats that interference on the radar". I said not sure, then he says "whats that...

    Battery Wiring

I'd add a third battery dedicated to the house. Leave the other 2 for starting. Check out Blue Sea. I went with one of their battery management panels with a charging relay. So far has been working great. http://bluesea.com/

Broken fuel sender unit - pieces in the tank

My sender took a dump this season too. Wont read anything below 5/8 of a tank. Im saving that for the off season. Good luck.

    electronics resetting on engine start

Tim, not sure if you got this solved or not, but I had the same problem with my Furuno electronics. Dont think this is a Furuno specific problem though. The problem was battery maintenance (ie. not switching the battery switch enough to allow proper charging). These were Grp 29 batteries. I...

Merc Rev 4 17 Pitch Used - SOLD

Forgot I still had this in the shed. I bought this used a few years ago. It wasnt right for my boat so its been sitting around ever since. The leading edges are not perfect, but they are not terrible either. $250 or best offer. If you want to try it out and are in the NJ area, feel free.

    Transom Fishbox cooler insert

I usually fit an igloo ice cube in there for bait along with another small igloo for food and drinks. Its not really ideal though. Dont know the model numbers. I was thinking about adding removeable starboard dividers back there so I dont need to fill the whole thing with ice. But thats a...
