Unsure of a primer coat, my guess is yes. I do see some kind of green paint/undercoat in some spots where the bottom paint has flaked off.

Had a full boat Saturday and some toes managed to snap some trim during a double hook up! It isn't the end of the world but it drives me crazy! Where can I get this trim? Thanks! -BT

2 reasons 1. It is not a perfectly good bow rail. The previous owner failed to mention that it has a big dent in it on the port side, which shifted the entire rail slightly and drives me crazy. 2. The taller rail makes for fishing the bow much easier/safer over here on the west side.
