Yes, but I dropped weight and increased HP, so I'll take my chances. Lol. I've put about 150 hours on her since the repower and I can say its the perfect motor for this boat.
It's a 2002. I will replace the hoses. I'm just stumped, fuel is coming out of the vent hose and running down the side of the boat. It's also getting into the bilge. I checked both hose connections on. Other ends and they look fine.
The last two times i put fuel in the boat some ran into the bilge, I also noticed it coming out the overflow a little. Tank is only half full so its not that.
No really, I tried. My live well pump cracked off at the base. Rear hatch (23se) filled up all the way forward. Waves were crashing over the transom all the way past the console. She was still floating. Lol. I got the pumps working and the water out just in time. She was very unstable. One good...
Yes, I almost got the 300apx but it was 3k more. I am very happy with its performance. I put almost 2000 hours on my old Yamaha. I don't see a huge difference in the top speed but the hole shot is amazing.
In case anyone has to repower their 23SE. I recently put a 2014 Suzuki DF250 on mine. With a 20 prop im getting close to 6K rpms and 50mph. I could get more speed from a different prop but this one makes the boat jump on a plane quick and cruise fast at low rmps. Motor is lighter than my old...
I have the 2002 23se with a f225. Top speed is 50 with 1/2 tank and 19p prop. It's not going to run fast in true 3 footers. I do it all the time. I love my boat for the type of fishing I do. I run the shallow bays and fish offshore on calm days. Great ride in less than 2' chop. The biggest...
I'm repowering. Going from Yamaha f225 to Suzuki df250. I'm currently running a 19 prop pretty happy with performance but wanted to see what others are running. Thanks
Dont know if this helps but... I recently put a pair of bennetts 24X9's on my 23SE. I installed them flush with the top of the recessed pocket area. They work great!
