Are you on a bracket or transom mount? I had a 99 with a df250 and a friend has a 99 with a 300ap they just put on and no issues but both boats are full transom bracket boats
You will be fine I just put a furuno tzt3 12 in and it’s bigger than the simrad nss12 that I had in my 2320
didn’t have an issue with the cut outs on either one
I agree with everyone else don’t use a rotozip.
Bag off the inside of the console and I used a oscillating saw.
Came across one of my buddies yesterday while heading in and he snagged a pic of us cruisin along
I had to slow down for him to catch up in his Steiger haha once we let him pass he was able to get a pic
Inside your console next to the helm pump is where I mounted my ap pump on my 2320, in my 2820 I put it in the passenger seat behind the helm seat with the sea star power assist pump.
Cheapest option is to order a west coast rail from parker thru your local dealer so they can ship it out on a new boat coming in. Almost about 1/2 the cost of having one made.
So I found some pictures of what I was looking for and what I’m going to hope to do. With as low profile of a control box as possible. Hopefully someone else looking for similar ideas can find this thread helpful aswell
Thanks

Do you have the boat down here at west coast? Or is it up north? A power purge is your best friend, there is one forsale on the hulltruth right now. It’s the only reliable way in my opinion to get all the air out of your system.
if the boats down here I can see if my buddy is willing to let you...
The boat was originally listed for 110 then dropped the price to 105 he caught a bunch of crap on bd for his lack of info and being squirrelly with his answering. Then marking it sold and available multiple times and then all of a sudden the price jumped to 130
it was on OfferUp aswell then the...
For rigging I’m not worried as I run electronic controls so a single wire plus the 3 hydro for steering tucked behind a cushion mounted to the wall won’t be an issue. I don’t mind a low profile box but I don’t want something sticking out as far as that one is nor any I have seen so far. I...
He was a “yes man”
never gave straight answers seemed more interested in getting his commission than actually about “helping out his friend” as he called it. Then when the boat went up 20k I said screw it.
Have you seen any pictures or could point me to any pictures of ones direct mounted? I can only the bulkhead box stations or free standing. I want it just for docking it’s a real PITA to run in and out of the cabin on the 28 with the wind here whipping the boat off the dock. I have to tie up on...
Has anyone here mounted their second station directly to the back bulkhead of the pilot house? I see a lot of the “boxes” added onto the house but that blocks the steps and I’m trying to minimize taking up that much room.
would I need to beef up the bulkhead to mount a steering wheel onto it...
