I'm glad he set me straight too. Its good to know that eventhough my live well works, its totally wrong -I guess? I'm starting the pen this evening, but probably won't post pics with such a waste of time project. :lol:

BTW I got beat up pretty good on another site for this, as a fellow fisherman suggested a pen full of dead bunker... For the record, I am not out to waste, and I do all I can to protect our resources. While it is not uncommon for most fishermen to net several dozen bunker for bait, I do not...

Instead of conduit, I'm using 3/4Pex pipe. I'm also adding some reinforcement by using T connectors and adding vertical pipe to each side. I'll post picks when done... If not too embarrasing!

Thanks for asking. I originaly thought it may be fouled so I gave it a scrub with a brush. After this, I messed with the gain a bit and it worked. But not for long. It does pop up, and I have to push it down, but even then sometimes it won't pick up bottom. I plan to mess with it some more this...

I have the same boat, and same problem. I was thinking of drilling some holes in the splash guard. Or maybe just removing it. It would be nice to have it drain quicker, but then again, its nice to have an excuse for another beer while I wait for it to drain! :wink:

I have no pics available, and I'm not sure we would be able to see the ducer thru the water if I take one now. Now that I think of it, my set up is just asking for problems. The ducer was installed at the dealer. Its sort of L shaped, with the back mounted to the transom below the water line.

Had a chance to check it out this weekend, and OT is right. the transducer sticks out there beneath the waterline. Additionally, my FF is not picking up the bottom now?? I get a temp, but no depth. Forgive my ignorance, this is my first FF, but what now? I tried to clean it a bit with my deck...

it is, but from what I can tell, its not in the area of the stream. I could be wrong though. I haven't had a chance to get out with someone that can hold the wheel while I check it out.
