Is 9' 6" a problem?

Is your VST really empty when you have this problem and you sure it's not the VST filter being clogged up? Just because you read voltage going into a pump does not mean it's working. I've seen plenty of electric motors that have 12v and a ground and don't work. You must confirm that it is...

If the 2 micron filter is getting clogged it's doing it's job! The alternative is a 10 micron that does not clog and you take your vst apart every 100 hours. Total no brainer. Like is posted earlier put in the 2 micron and carry a spare. Never ever ... never ever ... never ever.. have to...

The leak is an easy fix. Pull the boat Scrape out any caulk from the cap joint that you can get out. You don't have to get it all out. Tape off the top and bottom of the joint all the way around the hull. Fill with 4200 and smooth it out. I did this two years ago and stopped the leaks. So far...

There's a whole thread on this filter on THT. Guys were running vacume gauges and alarms to make sure the engine wasn't starving for fuel. Seems like there's no problems at all. Andy at Simms has all the test info. It makes alot of sense to put this filte on and stop the whole VST filter...

You can stop the whole VST nonsense by installing a Racor 2 micron filter on your water seperator. The part number is S3220SUL Capt Brian
