    Mr Heater in the cabin

I have one of these too. I have the adapter to run from a 20lb tank that I keep outside the cabin. You can also fill the little cylinders from a 20lb tank with a refill adapter, but they only refill about half ways, but still cheaper than buying new ones. I have a 2520 and my heater sits on the...

Parker run over by a 32 Albemarle doing 30 knots.

Just cause you are fishing doesn't mean a "vessel engaged in fishing" Rule 3 (d) The term "vessel engaged in fishing" means any vessel fishing with nets, lines, trawls or other fishing apparatus which restrict maneuverability, but does not include a vessel fishing with trolling lines or other...

Parker run over by a 32 Albemarle doing 30 knots.

Not placing blame, but just having a discussion about the nav rules. Assuming the parker was "drifting" and not anchored. Would not both rule 5 and 7 apply to the Parker also?

My 2 cents. I have a 2002 2520 XL Bought it with 225 Yamaha in 2010. standard Yamaha prop 17p. 5300 WOT 29 kts. Long time to get on plane with heavy load (5-6 people). Switched to Power tech OFS4 15.25x14p 5800 WOT 28 knots Much better out of the hole and midrange 22kts cruise at 4500...

    transom design on a 2320 w/ 225 Yami

Full transom and bracket will give go a lot more space on the boat, but it will be 2+' longer. handling around the marina will be a little better with the notched transom.

    Parker Deck Seating

Teak Bench. Very classy. $5-600 will get you a nice bench. Use waterproof glue when you assemble it, and oil it one a year. Search online

    Adding heat to a 2520?

That price sounds alot better. Magebyte, yes I saw the electric one. I need alot more than 300 watts. The water temp here is about 40 and will be in the low 30s by february. I need something that can give me decent heat on days when it is 20. I dont need it to be 72 in the cabin, but at least...

Rust stains in bilge, please help

Rotted stringer? my heart sank. I took another look today and the stains are not coming from the back of the stringers like in Tims pictures. I will try to invert myself in the bilge with a flashlight and mirror sometime soon. PS the bilge is not usually that wet, but it was raining that day.

    Adding heat to a 2520?

Megabyte I did see that topic thanks. No offense, but if the water here was 60 degrees I wouldnt need heat. I like that Webasto unit, but I like the $2,700 in my pocket better. Anybody else?

    Adding heat to a 2520?

I live in Maine and want to run the boat all winter as a commuter. Anybody added heat, and what success have you had? I cannot use propane. I came across these heated seat liners that would be neat I thought. http://www.sportsimportsltd.com/pecafidutewa.html All ideas are welcome Thanks

Rust stains in bilge, please help

I have serious staining in the rear bilge area. I cant see far enough up to see a source. My first thought was bracket bolts, but those are stainless and I cant locate any in the right area to be the source. the boat is a 2002 2520 with bracket. The stains seems to be getting worse. Please help.

    2520 under deck?

About the ballast, it seems they only added the ballast when the boat was set up a a single engine. Makes sense they would have to account for the difference in transom weight.

Removing anchor pulpit on a 2520

Anybody done this before? I am buying a 2003 2520. I want to remove the anchor pulpit and windlass. I rarely anchor, but frequently need to maneuver in tight spaces. I know I will need to remove the bow rail, and I dont plan to reinstall it. Other than that it seems pretty straight-forward to...

    questions about used 2520 XL

I took the 2520XL for a sea trial on a choppy day and it does ride alot better than my current 2520SC. It still is not an "offshrore" boat it the sense of a deep V, but it handles bay chop alot better. Dont get me wrong I have been way out in bad weather in my 2520SC and never felt unsafe, the...

    questions about used 2520 XL

Stone Buster, Thanks for the info. My current boat is approaching repower time and with nearly 8000 hours on the hull it is pretty tired and Im not sure I want to invest the 20k in a repower of a boat of its age. I like the 4 seat setup of the 2002 XL versus the 2 interior seat of my current...

    questions about used 2520 XL

I am looking at a used 2002 2520 xl with 225 yamaha on bracket. How do I know the deadrise of this boat? and approximate performance (top end/cruise)? The engine has a 25" shaft. I have a 1997 2520 with the 14deg deadrise and twin Honda 130s in a notched transom. I love the boat, but it...
