    2320 Autopilot

the wire goes right through the large 3" tubiing that encases all of the other engine wires...no big deal. Just loosen the hose clamp, leave some slack, and watch the movement of wires, etc. before securing with tie straps. The sending unit arm does need to be extended when attached to the...

    Rendevous Pics and other thoughts

    (1) really enjoyed seeing the pics and being able to associate a face with the moniker (2) all of the boats seem to be well maintained (no surprise) (3) could you get a group shot of all the captains the next time? We were caught in a squal on Saturday (actual small craft warning). We...

    Parkers sinking

A couple of years ago, my son and I did something really stupid, and would never do it again. There was an approaching hurricane, and the evacuation notice was in place for the Keys. We had to put the boat on the trailer, but decided that we would "tickle the tale of the Dragon", and sneak...

    spider cracks

For rust stains or tannic acid, go to the local industrial chemical supply house, and buy a 55# bag of oxalic acid (crystals). Take a cup of crystals with water and microwave for 2 min., and stir. Then, pour (a funnel helps) into a gallon jug, add water, and shake. Use an atomizer bottle or...

Bone Time had meaning for everyone in the family: I play trombone professionally on the side My sons use "bone time" just as you do up North, and the family dog's ears perk up at pure mention of "bone time!"

    Compounding Gelcoat

I used the 3M product that you are talking about, several years ago, on my old Mako. Be careful, as you can thin the gelcoat right out. Here's the biggy: wear a good, professional grade breather/mask. I didn't and almost killed myself, seriously. Bad stuff to inhale.

Live Well Leaking onto fuel tank

Robin Parker said that the live well is seated with 5200. I had a similar problem, but it was only when the back was fully loaded (bait well running, or two guys fishing off the transom). Bottomline, on the starboard scupper, there was an extra hole drilled at about six o'clock. Once I filled...

Why Did You Buy A Parker?

My Parker 23 has more room in the fishing area than most 26-30' open fisherman types with leaning posts. If you notice, they put their emphasis on the "mission control" ego aspect of numerous gauges, displays, etc. ...a feelgood thing for the captain...forget the crew. The boat borders on...

    Parker Font

You guys are very clever with this font business. I have a 23' Parker that I want the Parker font with the red slash. The boat is "Bone Time" and I'd be willing to pay you to "get 'er done." I can apply the decal. Terry Burtschin 800-843-5451
